  1. The Outer Banks House by Diann Ducharme. A beautiful, well-written story about life on the Outer Banks following the Civil War. A difficult book to put down, and well worth reading/

  2. "Wicked Cravings" by G. A. McKevett is a cross between mystery and comedy. The main character is a sassy private investigator who works with an old friend who is a police detective. He is set in his ways but has a big heart. Once I turn the first page I can't put the book down. This is the last but hopefully not least in a series.

  3. "Blue and Gray Christmas" by Joan Medlicott was a good read for anytime of the year. This book addressed many themes, genealogy, friendship, prejudice. I am looking forward to reading more of her books about Covington, NC in the future.
